BrainStorm

The musical group of the song we know well is a group from Latvia (also known as Prāta Vētra).

The beginning of the creative activity of the BrainStorm group dates back to the end of the eighties, we can even say that the birth took place already when the singer Renars and drummer Nick had fun and sang together around a Christmas tree in a preschool, and then all members of the band sang the same lines in a song circle at school, all were present in the near from birth town of Jelgava, Latvia. For many years, knowing everyone and united by music for fourteen years (they started at the age of 15, when the group was formed), the spirit of friendship between the guys created an atmosphere of a real family: “Good wise family joke, in this case just five fathers together. It's so hard sometimes to find just one way out of five, ”this is what BrainStorm members are declaring about themselves and their unique atmosphere towards the end of 2003. And then, in mid-spring 2004, a blow to fate, a case took away one of the band members - the original BrainStorm bass guitarist Muminsh (Gundars Mausev) tragically died in a car accident. In honor of our dear comrade Muminche and fully convinced that they were called BrainStorm for a reason, we decided not to stop. By the end of 2004 and the beginning of 2005, BrainStorm recorded their 7th studio album with producer Alex Silva, with his participation the group recorded 2 songs in a previously recorded album. In between studio work in January, the band joined the American group REM as a support act for 9 shows in Europe. The next album will be called "Four Shores" and will be released in autumn 2005 with a Baltic version in Latvia in late spring. Anton Corbijn took photographs for artwork. The name "Four Shores" underlines the sore spot where BrainStorm was placed after it lost the original band member and relative Mimins in a tragic car last May. disaster. Muminsh's Touch relives new songs as the band began writing songs for a new album following the tragedy. Obviously, the lyrics were influenced by this loss. The experience of being a Latvian citizen growing up in the former USSR and witnessing the so-called Iron Curtain and Latvia's return to Europe has provided a unique musical influence and background for the band members, which reflects and passes through BrainStorm's music. Singer Reynard reveals: “Truly the first influences on BrainStorm I can name Russian cartoons and Latvian pop scene in the 80s. Touching on the topic of cartoons, you can say - I still like the songs of those years and I listen to them regularly, they have something unique, happiness and sadness at the same time, which is difficult to describe, and this is how I also see most of Stormer's songs. And only when we were 14-15 years old, we began to find out what was happening on the opposite side of the moon. " The musical collective BrainStorm for several years defines itself as the largest musical collective in their homeland in Latvia, the last 3 recordings they made and "Best Of" reached the Platinum sales status, each radio single goes straight to # 1 on the air, they collect several prizes each time, nominated for Latvian music awards, they perform for large crowds. In 2003, 25, 000 spectators gathered and broke the Skonto Stadium record. But sooner or later the time has come to visit the international music scene, and BrainStorm can be called the icebreakers in this area, if not the first, then certainly one of the outstanding bands from Eastern Europe will enter the Western music market. Their breakthrough was in 2000 with the single "My Star", and then the album "Among the Suns" (with the release in XVIII countries, Great Britain, Germany and Scandinavia inclusive), the album "Online", released in 2001, storming Eastern Europe (Gold in Poland) and Scandinavia with the fiercely romantic and memorized melody “Maybe”. For over 3 years, the band toured Europe with their own tour, and also supported the Rolling Stones in Czechoslovakia, The Cranberries in the Czech Republic, Italy, Belgium and Germany, Depeche Mode in the Baltic countries and Supergrass in Denmark. The previous album BrainStorm was released in 2003 - "A Day Before Tomorrow" - a slideshow of everyday life in 12 chapters called songs, they show the spirit and heart of the group, how they think and feel in this environment. In this place and instantly the group Brainstorm releases its albums in the following sequence “The name of the album includes the philosophy in which we believe - we do not speak simply - today, because, perhaps, you should live in the moment when you are, but also should not forget that the day comes after that and remember that you are worried about the future, you have your dreams and visions, but still - you will not let the beauty of the moment just slip away, because you appreciate it and do not live only in the illusion of the unknown future. "To create his 6th studio album" A Day Before Tomorrow ",
